Young EHT softball players are headed to the World Series

  • News

The Egg Harbor Township 10U All Stars are going to the World Series.

The young softball team went undefeated in both their District and State Championships, and took second in the Babe Ruth Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament.

Now, they have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in the World Series tournament from July 26 through Aug. 6 in Treasure Coast, Fla.

“This is something the girls have been looking forward to for three years,” Coach Christina Naughton told BreakingAC. “They are a very hard working and dedicated group of 9- and 10-year-olds. They've made some plays that even the older kids couldn't make.”

They do need help in one way.

The team is looking for donations to fund the trip and are looking to raise $30,000 in the next three weeks.

Anyone looking to help the girls can donate via Venmo @EHT-10UAllstars, or through GoFundMe.

Heading to the series are Hailey Renzi, Elleana Jones, Lina Carboni, Tessa Gentile, Maggie Lamb, Molly Rymas, Zoe Blankenbuehler, Alanna Muniir, Carey Reemer, Kinsley Henderson, McKenzie Ford, Raina Cortes, Scarlett Held and Taliyah Ortiz.

Coaches are Naughton, Josh Carboni, Trish Rymas and Joe Henderson.
