The kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City showed off what they have learned in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics last week.
The fifth annual STEAM Expo had everything from different types of slime, hydraulic lifts, 3D printing and even lego creations brought to "life" by movements on a tablet.
"The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is proud of our STEAM event, bringing together the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics for our vibrant community,” said Dr. Charles A. Wallace II, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. “Our commitment to fostering innovation and creativity drives us to host these types of engaging events, where families and individuals of all ages can explore, learn, and be inspired.
"From interactive workshops to captivating demonstrations, our STEAM team is committed to offering unforgettable experiences that ignite curiosity and celebrate the power of knowledge."
The building at 215 Sovereign Ave. was turned into a showcase with different floors having the different groups. They ranged from kindergarteners to eighth grade.
The student teams not only created their projects, but presented them. In some cases, reading off frequently asked questions or important facts.
