Atlantic City promoted one firefighter and nine police officers Monday.
Mayor Marty Small administered the oath of office to each new rank in a joint ceremony for the Police and Fire departments.
“I told each and every one of you this would happen and we would get to this point,” Small said. “I’m extremely proud of you. This was a long time coming, but we’re here, and we wanted to do it for the holidays.”
Michael Logan is now a fire captain.
New police lieutenants are Avette Harper, James Herbert, Thomas Moynihan and Craig Mulhern.
The five new sergeants are James Barrett, Brian Hambrecht, George Mancuso, Ann McGlynn and Timothy Richvalsky.
