A Buena Boro woman died Wednesday morning, after she was struck on Route 40.
A black 2017 Hyundai was heading east near 1113 Harding Highway, when it struck the 81-year-old woman crossing the street at about 8:20 a.m., according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The woman, whose name is not yet being released, died at the scene.
The unnamed driver stayed on scene.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Crash Investigations Unit and the New Jersey
State Police are investigating.
