  • Crime-Courts

Ocean City police used a drone to help track down six juveniles who fled from a car that they allegedly stole from Camden and drove to the shore.

Three boys and three girls ages 13 to 16 were charged with possession of stolen property and obstructing the administration of law, police said in a Facebook post.

At 8:17 p.m. Saturday, officers stopped a car in Ocean City that had been reported stolen in Camden.

All six juveniles ran when police approached the vehicle, according to the report.

Police apprehended all of them with assistance from the department’s Drone Unit under the direction of Lt. Mark Pancoast. The Ocean City Police Department has three drones used as a crime-fighting tool.

Three of the juveniles are from Egg Harbor City, two from Paulsboro and one from Woodbury.

They were released to the custody of their parents
