A Pleasantville man is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile he met online.
Atlantic City police were called to the area of Kingston and Sunset avenues at about 2:30 p.m. last Saturday, for the report of a 13-year-old girl meeting up with a 21-year-old man, Capt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers found Javier Erazo and the girl, and learned the two recently met on social media, according to the report.
An investigation by the Special Victim Unit found that Erazo knew the girl's age and wanted to engage in a sexual relationship with her.
While the report did not detail what happened between the two, the charges include sexual assault, along with attempt to lure or entice a juvenile and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The investigation also found that there was an investigation into Erazo inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl in March 2019, when he was 16 years old, Fair said.
Erazo was arrested Tuesday and is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
