Woman who confronted Kelces in viral Margate video apologizes

Young fans take selfies with Jason Kelce during his celebrity appearance in Sea Isle last June for an autism awareness fundraiser.

She's not a local.

That was the consensus when a confrontation between an apparently drunken woman and Kylie Kelce outside a Margate eatery went viral.

It appears they were right.

Andrée Goldberg is from Philadelphia's Main Line.

And her publicist has now issued an apology — after a Philadelphia Magazine reporter tracked her down at the chocolate shop she and her husband own, Teuscher Chocolates.

"I wanted to give her a fair shake, let the world hear her side of the story, reporter Victor Fiorillo wrote.

But Goldberg told him “There’s no story here,” which was repeated by her husband, Bryan.

Bryan Goldberg told Fiorillo to leave and threatened to call police, videoing the reporter as he left the business and walked to his car, he said.

Later, the publicist put out an apology from Andrée Goldberg.

"In a heated moment, I said things that were out of character for me and that I regret and for that, I am sorry. Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community. My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate," the statement reads.

"As an adult and proud member of my community, I should have recognized and respected their right to privacy from the onset. I am deeply appreciative of the grace and understanding shown to me by the Kelces and wish them nothing but the best.”

For those who need background: Kelce is the wife of recently retired Eagles center, Jason Kelce, but has gained a large fanbase in her own right.

Everyone who viewed the video seemed on her side, after it was disclosed that the couple apparently garnered the woman's ire after politely refusing a photo during date night outside Steve & Cookie's.

A video — which wrongly titled the incident as happening in Sea Isle City, where the couple has a second home — went viral, leading to an apology from Margate's mayor, and an offer of a date night re-do for the Kelces on him.
