An Egg Harbor City woman injured in a
crash Jan. 9 has died from her injuries, police announced.
Daveiba Martinez, 49, was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike when her vehicle crossed over the concrete median and drove head on into a street sweeper.
The driver of the street sweeper was not injured.
Martinez suffered a head injury and was treated at the scene, then taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Trauma Unit in Atlantic City.
Egg Harbor Township police were notified of her death Wednesday, Lt. Robert Gray said.
The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Cherie Burgan and Officers Louis Poletis, Thomas Rocco and Kevin Devlin.
