Atlantic City man on parole for robbery arrested in bank robbery

An Atlantic City man on parole for robbery was arrested Friday after a bank robbery. Police were called to the TD Bank on Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:17 p.m. Friday, after the bank was robbed by a man who passed the teller a note, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. An investigation led officers to a residence on the 600 block of Virginia Avenue. Inside they found two men — and the money stolen during the robbery. One of them, Siteem Newmones, was released from prison March 19, 2017, after serving more than two years on robbery and assault charges, according to state Department of Corrections records. Newmones, 36, is charged with violation of parole and receiving stolen property. Kaleem Williams, 21, of Atlantic City, was also arrested. He si charged with contempt of court. The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be added. Both men are being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
