A New York man was indicted this week in the sexual assault of a casino housekeeper.
Jamel Carlton, 32, was indicted on six counts in the violent sexual assault of a housekeeper at Bally's Hotel and Casino.
It was his second arrest at the casino-hotel within about six hours.
Police were first called to Bally’s parking garage at 5:25 a.m., for a domestic assault.
At that time, his 41-year-old girlfriend had physical signs of an injury, according to police.
Carlton was charged with simple assault, and released on a summons by 9 a.m.
An hour-and-a-half later, patrol officers again responded to Bally’s, this time for a report of a hotel employee being sexually assaulted.
Carlton has been indicted on charges of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and burglary, third-degree aggravated assault and criminal restraint, and fourth-degree obstruction.
