A car burglary suspect was caught thanks to officers in Atlantic City’s Surveillance Center, police said.
Officers manning the cameras saw Sean Conyers checking car doors in the beach block of Delancey Place at 1:22 a.m. Monday, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
After getting a description from the Surveillance Center staff, Officer Sean McGettigan found Conyers two blocks away on Bartram Avenue and he was arrested on an active warrant, according to the report.
McGettigan found the wallet, keys and identification of another man in Conyers’ pocket during the arrest, Fair said.
The victim was notified, and told McGettigan that his vehicle had been burglarized earlier in the morning on Providence Avenue, according to the report.
Surveillance Center personnel then reviewed the footage, and found Conyers entering the man’s vehicle, Fair said.
Conyers, 30, of the Villas, is charged with burglary, theft and contempt of court.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
