  • News

An Atlantic City woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Virginia, State Police said.
Hasina Camacho-Prater, 28, ran off the side of Route 29 in Nelson County, Va., then struck a culvert, an embankment and a tree.
Police were called just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
But residents heard the crash around 2:30 or 3 a.m., according to the coroner's report obtained by BreakingAC.
Camacho-Prater died at the scene.
She was not wearing a seat belt and had head injuries, the report said.
Camacho-Prater was remembered as a loving mother and sister.
She leaves behind two sons and a daughter.
"Hasina was loved and appreciated by everyone in her life for her strength, kindness and her compassion," her sister-in-law, Teresa Prater, said. "She prided herself on her family and friends' well-being."
Camacho-Prater lost two of her brothers to violence in the city.
Eric Prater, 30, was fatally shot in the 1000 block of Magellan Avenue in Atlantic City on July 13, 2010.
The year before, 24-year-old Quintin Prater was fatally shot several blocks away in Brigantine Homes in the city's Back Maryland section.
No arrests have been made in either case.
