Absegami High School sheltered in place for a time Monday morning due to a disturbance involving several students in a hallway.
The shelter in place was enacted around 8:55 a.m., to prevent additional students from entering the area while the issue was investigated, according to a message sent out by the school obtained by BreakingAC.
Galloway Township police responded to assist with the investigation.
It was found that one student “utilized some form of defensive chemical spray during the incident.”
It was not clear if anyone was injured or if any charges would be filed.
