A Somerset man is jailed in an Atlantic City Expressway crash in 2020.
Nikhil Branscomb, now 28, was allegedly speeding and drunk when he struck a vehicle driven by Justin Santos-Torres at about 2:15 a.m. July 19, 2020.
After the collision, Santos-Torres' vehicle went off the road and overturned.
The 20-year-old was killed in the crash.
Branscomb was arrested Friday.
He is charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter.
Branscomb is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
This investigation was conducted by the New Jersey State Police Atlantic City
Expressway Barracks and the New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit, with assistance
from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit.
