An Atlantic City man wanted in a shooting while on release in another gun case was arrested Monday along with two others.
Police also recovered a rifle and drugs inside a city home where two of the men ran, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Koron Still, 25, was previously charged in an October gun case that included an allegation of terroristic threats.
He was arrested Dec. 12, but released from the Atlantic County Justice Facility on Dec. 20, following a detention hearing.
Still now is accused of taking a gun from his waistband and firing it in the 600 block of South Carolina Avenue Wednesday.
He was wanted in that incident when Officer John Bell spotted him and two other men getting into and then out of a vehicle at 6:14 p.m. Monday, according to the police report and court records.
When Bell approached, Still ran, Lt. Kevin Fair said. Officers Kyle Bender and Robert Reynolds caught him after a short foot pursuit.
Still discarded a bag along the way that had more than 12 grams of cocaine and ecstasy, according to the report.
K9 Officer Melvin Murray III's narcotics-sniffing partner, Jynx, alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle that the men were in.
The other two men, Alim Tisdale and Melvin Young, had taken some items from the vehicle before going into a nearby residence, the officers learned.
Tisdale and Young were found in the residence with several children, Fair said.
A court-ordered search warrant led to a rifle, several different brands of ammunition, 345 grams of marijuana, heroin and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics, Fair said.
Tisdale, 32, of Atlantic City, and Young, 31, of Pleasantville, were arrested.
All three men now face gun and drug charges, along with endangering the welfare of children. They are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
