A man was fatally shot in Atlantic City on Thursday night, the Atlantic County prosecutor announced Friday.
Police were called to the first block of South Texas Avenue at about 10:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting, Prosecutor William Reynolds said.
Officers located James Square suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the report.
Square, 29, of Lawrence Township, Mercer County, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was pronounced dead.
