Philadelphia man killed in Atlantic City shooting

A Philadelphia man died Saturday, a day after he was found wounded in a daylight Atlantic City shooting.

Khalid Scott, 26, was found behind the wheel of a two-door sedan with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Grant Avenue at about 12:50 p.m.

Scott was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was pronounced dead 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

It is the second fatal shooting in the city in three days. Luis Rosa Rodriguez, 23, died in a shooting Tuesday night on South Florida Avenue.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit are investigating both cases.
