  • Education

The Esports Innovation Center at Stockton University announced four new board members at its annual meeting last week.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Jennifer Aarons, Dr. Noel Criscione-Naylor, Demetrios Roubos and David Weinstein to our board,” EIC Executive Director Andrew Weilgus said. “Their combined expertise and dedication to the growth and development of esports will be invaluable as we continue to expand our programs and initiatives. We also extend our deepest gratitude to outgoing board members Scott Huston and Brian Kowalski for their years of service and contributions to the EIC.”

Weinstein will serve as the board's chair.

He is a partner with Archer & Greiner, P.C., a law firm in Voorhees, Somerset County. A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to esports industry clients.

His expertise in esports law and regulations is considered a significant asset to the board, ensuring that the EIC remains at the forefront of legal and ethical standards in the rapidly evolving esports landscape.

Roubos will be vice chair.

He brings more than 15 years of expertise in innovation and cybersecurity as the founding director of Stockton’s Office of Information Security.

Roubos also established and grew the university's esports competitive program, which finished second in the world for Rocket League in 2022 and won the inaugural Garden State Esports Collegiate Cup in 2024.

Aarons and Criscione-Naylor, both casino industry veterans, are School of Business faculty members at Stockton University in the Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management program.

They assisted with the development and launch of the university’s Bachelor of Science in Esports Management program. Aarons will serve as secretary of the EIC's Board of Directors, with Criscione-Naylor serving as treasurer.
