A fire that ripped through an abandoned structure in Galloway Township on New Year's Eve appears to be intentionally set, police said.
Firefighters responded to the 400 block of South Odessa Avenue on Tuesday morning and the structure engulfed in flames, police said.
The White Horse Pike was shut down in both directions for about 4½ hours as firefighters responded to battle the blaze, police said.
Firefighters on scene quickly extinguished the fire eliminating any potential damage to nearby land or property, according to the report.
No injuries were reported.
Evidence located at the scene indicates potential arson, police said.
The residence is the same one where a man was found dead in April. An autopsy determined that was a homicide. No arrests have been made.
No connection has been determined at this time, BreakingAC was told.
The investigation is ongoing as police and fire personnel continue to gather and examine evidence.
