An Egg Harbor Township man admitted to a deadly drug sale while on parole in a drug case out of Millville.
Christopher Sainsot, 40, pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree strict liability drug-induced death and second-degree possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
He faces 10 years in prison with 8½ years of parole ineligibility under the No Early Release Act.
Sainsot was just sent back to the Atlantic County Justice Facility last month, after completing the rest of his term in Cumberland County case, court records show.
He was sentenced to eight years in that case, but was paroled Aug. 11, 2020, after serving about two years, according to the state Department of Corrections.
Police were called to his home on Asbury Road in the township on Oct. 25, 2022, for a possible drug-related overdose death, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The victim, identified only as K.T., was found dead.
A witness, identified as B.A., said he brought the victim to the home to buy drugs.
They bought a gram of heroin and three suboxone pills from Sainsot. Both then snorted the suspected heroin, but police recovered a white substance that later was confirmed by the state lab to be fentanyl, according to the investigation.
After Sainsot's arrest, a warrant was obtained to search the residence. Investigators found about 18 grams of methamphetamine, anabolic steroids, about 150 1mg doses of alprazolam (Xanax), 26 suboxone, a scale and manufacturing equipment for a production facility specific to anabolic steroids.
They also found clear plastic bags and approximately two grams of fentanyl.
An autopsy found K.T.’s cause of death was fentanyl and alcohol intoxication.
Sainsot was sent back to prison due to the violation, and maxed out Feb. 11. He is now in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
He is scheduled for sentencing in the drug-induced death on April 28.
