Five injured in fiery Atlantic City crash

Five people were injured in a fiery crash after an allegedly drunk driver crashed into a concrete barrier in Atlantic City on Friday morning.
Police and firefighters were called to the 800 block of Mediterranean Avenue just after 5 a.m. for the report of a vehicle crash, officials said.
Surveillance video shows the vehicle speeding west on Melrose Avenue near Route 30, before jumping a curb and striking concrete barriers, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.

Officers arrived to find the car fully engulfed in flames and the driver and four passengers outside of the vehicle, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
None of the occupants was were wearing seat belts.
All five were taken They were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with various injuries. All are expected to survive.
Firefighters extinguished the flames.
The driver, India Wright, was drunk and driving with a suspended license, according to an investigation by Officer Eric Knuttel.
Wright, 23, of Westville, is charged with four counts of assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license causing serious bodily injury, and various motor vehicle summonses.
She was released on a summons.
