Local Eagles fans may be mourning a heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl. But South Jersey still had reason to celebrate.
Vineland graduate Isiah Pacheco helped rally the Kansas City Chiefs in the second half, after going into halftime with Philadelphia leading by 10.
Now, the seventh-round rookie running back lovingly known as "Pop" will be bringing home a championship ring.
Pacheco, 23, was Kansas City's leading rusher with 15 carries for 75 yards.
He had a one-yard touchdown run in the Chiefs' first possession of the second half, cutting the Birds' leads to just a field goal.
The Eagles tied it up to head into the fourth quarter, where Kansas City pulled it out with a field goal in the final seconds.
Vineland sent plenty of well wishes to the seventh-round draft pick ahead of the game.
