A Hamilton Township man faces a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated assault and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Joseph Ferante, 36, was arrested Sept. 9, 2021, when police were called to a township home for a domestic dispute.
Police arrived to find the victim, who said Ferante assaulted him and then fled.
The sawed-off shotgun was found during a search of the home, and was determined to belong to Ferante.
He has been jailed since his arrest at that time.
Under the plea agreement, he would have to serve at least 3½ years before he is eligible for parole. He has already served about a year-and-a-half.
Ferante's sentencing is scheduled for May 11.
