A man wanted in a February shooting in Atlantic City was arrested Saturday, after he was spotted in an Egg Harbor Township supermarket.
Pleasantville Detective Steven Sample received information that Everett Miller was at a supermarket in the township, Atlantic City Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Miller, 27, of Pleasantville, was wanted in the Feb. 4 shooting of Alvin Whitaker in the 1400 block of Caspian Avenue.
He was arrested Saturday inside the ShopRite with the assistance of two off-duty Atlantic City police officers, according to the report. Their names were not immediately available.
Witnesses reported seeing armed officers in the store that day.
Miller is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Bail information was not immediately available.
