A Virginia man wanted in a shooting in his home state was arrested by Atlantic City police Thursday after a car chase.
The Spotsville County Sheriff's Office in Virginia told local police Monday that the fugitive may be in Atlantic County.
Atlantic City intelligence detectives got information Thursday that Kenneth Fisher, 37, was staying at a hotel on Route 30 in Galloway Township.
Sgt. Richard Andrews found Fisher's car, and waited until Fisher came out of the hotel and got in, police said.

The chase ended in the 400 block of Connecticut Avenue, when Fisher ran from the car. He stumbled and fell to the ground, dropping a handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition on the pavement, according to the police report.
Officers Valmir Loga and Michael Vega arrested him and found drugs and more than $5,000 in cash on him, police said.
He allegedly had 28 grams of cocaine and 14 grams of marijuana.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on charges including being a fugitive from justice, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of weapon while committing a drug offense, two counts of possession of drugs (cocaine and marijuana), two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute within a school zone, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, eluding, resisting arrest and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
