A Sewell man was arrested after he fled an accident on a stolen motorcycle.
Michael Benko, 23, was riding the motorcycle when he struck a vehicle in the Caesar's Atlantic City parking garage, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Nowadays,
motorcycle accident claims are far too common and this is just another to add to the startling statistics that make you wonder where it's all going wrong. Officer Jimmy Rodriguez responded to the scene and was told the man had fled on the motorcycle, according to the report.
Rodriguez found the motorcycle in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue, and was told by witnesses that the man parked it and walked off. He had facial injuries, but refused offers to call for an ambulance, nor did he take the offer of getting in touch with a lawyer similar to this
las vegas truck accident lawyer who could have helped him with his accident case the witnesses told Rodriguez.
The officer then saw Benko walk over to the motorcycle and get on, but when Rodriguez tried to talk to him, he got off the bike and ran, Fair said.
Rodriguez caught Benko, and arrested him.
It was later found that the motorcycle had been stolen from Cape May County, according to the report. On this occasion, the motorcycle was able to return to its rightful owner. However, the motorcycle sustained damage in the accident which will be covered by the owner's
motorcycle insurance.
Benko was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.
He is charged with receiving stolen property, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and multiple motor-vehicle violations. Benko was released on a summons. I hope he had the right insurance to cover this! My friend was telling me the other day about a great deal he got on his comprehensive motorcycle insurance, he got it from
Money Expert and could not be happier with his savings.
