Daniel Newman, 22, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was arrested by State Police with the Division of Gaming Enforcement on Saturday night at the Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City for theft-related crimes within the casino district, State Police said. He was handcuffed when he fled into the woods just before 4 a.m. Sunday, according to the report. State Police did not detail how he escaped. The suspect bailed out of the car as it was preparing to turn into the jail at about 3:30 a.m., law enforcement sources told BreakingAC.
