The Atlantic County Justice Facility earned 100 percent compliance in its annual inspection, the county announced Monday.
It's the third year in a row that there were no findings of non-compliance, according to the release.
The five-day inspection looked at 20 categories, including personnel, training and staff development, emergency procedures, sanitation, food service, inmate services, disciplinary procedures and access to courts.
The facility also earned accreditation from the National Commission on Health Care, along with its medical vendor, Centers for Family Guidance."
The facility earned 100 percent in 34 essential standards and 100 percent in meeting 37 additional standards.
"The inspection and reaccreditation validate the quality of our jail facility and those responsible for its administration and operation," Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said. "I commend Warden (Geraldine) Cohen and her staff for their outstanding performance. Their job is certainly not easy, but one that is extremely important. I hope this brings them the satisfaction of knowing their efforts are appreciated."
