Hammonton police have a message for drug dealers: You take from our community, we’re taking from you.
The first delivery came Wednesday in the form of a seized Cadillac remade into the official ride of K-9 Officer Robert Zbikowski and his partner, Chase, whose name and badge number adorn the car.
The sides and hood of the car let everyone know it was “SEIZED by H.P.D.”
On the bumper are all those who contributed to the remodel.
The department had some fun leading up to the big unveiling, with nearly a month of teasing on their Facebook page.
“Are you ready?” a June 17 post asked above a video that promised, “It’s coming July 10, 2019.”
Another on July 6 gave a hint with a sample of Macklemore’s “White Walls” that begins “I wanna be free. I wanna just live. Inside my Cadillac, that is my…”
Residents enjoyed the introduction, which included an appearance by the four-legged star, Chase.
Many also posed with the car holding a frame that included all the contributors and #hpdseized.
