An Atlantic City man who is currently in Drug Court has been arrested on gun and drug charges.
Keaon Horton was pulled over by Detectives Alberto Valles, Nick Berardis and Chris Smith just after 10 Tuesday night.
Horton’s driver’s license is suspended, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Inside the car, the detectives found a handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition and marijuana.
Horton, 22, was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, certain person not to possess a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He also was issued motor vehicle summonses.
Horton was arrested on drug charges a year ago in Atlantic City. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to Drug Court — referred to as Recovery Court in Atlantic County — last year. He was scheduled for check-in earlier Tuesday, according to court records.
