A Cape May County man allegedly stole money, credit cards and other property in a string of Cumberland County car burglaries.
Kenny Calverley, 30, of Dennis Township, was identified as a suspect after State Police from the Port Norris Station began investigating multiple car burglaries in February of 2018, police said Tuesday.
Around that same time, Calverley was arrested with the help of a Hamilton Township K-9 in a shoplifting case at there.
Calverley was arrested last week in Pennsylvania on an unrelated charge, and was extradited to New Jersey.
Calverley was charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and attempt. He is being held at the Cumberland County jail.
State Police say all the vehicles burglarized were unlocked, and remind people to make sure to lock their cars and remove any valuable items.
Calverley has a history of thefts, and is currently on drug court out of Cape May County under a plea agreement there, court records show.
