An Atlantic City man wanted on several active warrants was arrested in a hotel room with a gun, police said.
Darrick Mallory, 24, was wanted on several fugitive warrants and was the subject of a joint investigation between Atlantic City police and the FBI, according to the report.
Mallory was tracked to a room inside Bally's Atlantic City on Wednesday, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
He initially refused to surrender but after detectives and FBI agents spoke with him for about 20 minutes, he surrendered without incident, Fair said.
During a search of the hotel room, detectives found a loaded handgun and marijuana, according to the report.
Mallory was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a high-capacity magazine and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, along with the fugitive warrants.
The case was led by Atlantic City Police Detective Ermindo Marsini.
Anyone with information about the distribution of narcotics is asked to call Atlantic City police at 609-347-5858.  Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
