AtlantiCare had two COVID-19 patients leave their hospitals Thursday, bringing the total released to 100.
Linda Goodman, of Mays Landing, raised her arms in triumph as she was wheeled outside the hospital's Mainland Campus in Pomona.In Atlantic City, Eliecer Miguel-Mendez was released from the hospital's City Campus.Both were rolled out to the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun," and were met by applause and cheers from hospital staff.“We only had a peek of sunshine in Atlantic County on this cloudy day,” said Edward Hamaty, D.O., chairman of Critical Care. “But inside the hospital campuses, smiles were shining brightly behind our masks.
"Our dedicated care team is pleased to honor these and all our patients and their families who have been impacted by COVID-19," he continued. "We urge the community to join us in recognizing them and all healthcare providers and essential workers by continuing to practice social distancing, masking in public, washing hands thoroughly, and seeking care for symptoms of COVID-19 and other illnesses.”
