An Atlantic City man was killed and two women wounded in a shooting late Monday night.
Police were called to the area of Pennsylvania and Magellan avenues in the city's Back Maryland section at 10:38 a.m. by a ShotSpotter alert, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
Samir Ross, 19, and two women were found with gunshot wounds, according to the report.
All three were taken to the AtantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where Ross was pronounced dead.
The women, both 21, were treated for their injuries. Their names were not released.
No arrests have been made.
Councilman Mo Delgado went live from the scene on Monday, noting that "three more people got shot in the community."
"We know the community is struggling," he said. "We know individuals are going out here acting as if they care about the community, but they're never around. They're not here protecting the kids."
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Major Crimes at 609-909-7800. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 beginning the text with ACPD.
