Atlantic City police get two guns, make three arrests in separate incidents

  • News

Two men and a teenager were arrested and two guns recovered in separate incidents this week, Atlantic City police said.

A 17-year-old who ran from officers was found with a loaded handgun Tuesday, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.

Detective Alberto Valles had gotten information that there was an armed male in the area of 1300 Caspian Avenue, according to the report.

Detectives Christian Ivanov, Christopher Dodson, Eric Evans and Nicholas Berardis saw a juvenile matching the suspect's description walking north on South Carolina Avenue from Caspian Avenue, Aristizabal said.

The teen ran from detectives, but was caught a short distance away, according to the report.

He was found with the gun and a high-capacity magazine, Aristizabal said. He was taken into custody without incident.

Officers allegedly also found him with suspected crack cocaine.

He was charged with weapons and drug offenses, along with resisting arrest and obstruction. The teen, whose name was not released due to his age, was taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.

The next day, police were conducting surveillance in the first block of South Florida Avenue, when they saw Alan Rebollao and Josue Saez take part in several suspected drug transactions, Aristizabal said.

Detective Dodson also had information that a man matching Rebollao's description had a handgun, according to the report.

Dodson, Evans, Ivano and Berardis converged on the two men, and took them into custody, Aristizabal said.

Rebollao allegedly had a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

He and Saez also had a combined 58 grams of suspected cocaine and about 30 grams of suspected heroin, Aristizabal said.

Reballao, 18, of Pleasantville, was charged with weapon and drug offenses and taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Saez, 21, of Atlantic City, was charged with multiple drug offenses and issued a summons.
