Millville man arrested in fatal July shooting

A Millville man was arrested Tuesday in a shooting that killed a man in July.

Salmadine Johnson, 40, was found dead in the 600 block of High Street on July 25, by officers responding to reports of shots fired.

It was originally believed Johnson had a stab wound. But an autopsy determined Johnson was shot.

Three days later, charges were filed against Marlon Thompson for murder and weapons offenses.

Thompson, 50, was arrested in Roselle, Middlesex County, by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task force and Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
