Two 16-year-old boys are accused of robbing a woman and then stealing her vehicle.
Police were called to the Tropicana Atlantic City at 3:41 a.m. Tuesday for the assault on a woman whose pocketbook was stolen, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The woman suffered a minor injury during the assault, according to the report.
The teens found the woman's vehicle and used the keys in her purse to steal it from the parking garage, Fair said.
Tropicana security got photos of the suspects.
The next day, Officer George Mancuso found the stolen vehicle unoccupied in the area of Trenton and Boulevard avenues, Fair said.
While waiting for a tow truck, officers on the scene saw a group of males watching them, Fair said.
Officers approached the group and arrested one after matching him to the surveillance photos, according to the report. The second suspect was arrested after he was seen in the area watching the police activity.
Both boys were charged with robbery, conspiracy, theft and simple assault.
They were taken to the Essex County Juvenile Detention Facility.
