Mullica man allegedly starved dogs

  • News

A Mullica Township man is charged with animal cruelty after one dog was found dead and another severely malnourished.

John Roblin was not caring for his dogs, police were told, alerting them to the home.

There they found two dogs in his yard, including one that appeared to have died from starvation, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

The second dog was taken to the Atlantic County Animal Shelter, where a veterinarian treated the dog for malnutrition and a skin condition.

He is charged with two counts of third-degree animal cruelty and two counts of failure to provide pets with adequate shelter, which are disorderly persons offenses.

Roblin, 50, was given a summons.

No photo was released of Roblin.
