Stockton University will host a symposium on veterans housing Thursday at its Atlantic City campus.
The New Jersey Veterans Housing Symposium will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the John F. Scarpa Academic Center, 3711 Atlantic Ave.
The event will feature regional and national experts on affordable housing and at-risk veterans. This is a learning and networking opportunity for individuals interested in assisting the struggling veteran population.
Topics will include HUD/VASH vouchers, funding sources and architectural development.
The event is presented by the American Legion, Monarch Housing and the Foundation for Sustainable Veteran Housing.
The purpose of the New Jersey Veteran Permanent Affordable Housing Consortium is to identify and engage appropriate real estate developers, municipal entities, property managers and service providers to locate, obtain approvals, build, maintain and provide earned and applicable benefits to the veteran residents.
There will be coffee in the morning and lunch will be served.
