An Atlantic City man was found with drugs and a loaded gun after an investigation targeting him, police said.
Muhammad Griffin, 41, was the focus of a two-month investigation led by Detective Eric Evans, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Griffin was stopped in his vehicle shortly after leaving his home in the 2100 block of North Missouri Avenue, according to the report.
Warranted searches of his home and the vehicle led to a loaded handgun, cocaine, ecstasy, drug paraphernalia and cash, Fair said. He did not indicate whether the gun was in Griffin's home or the vehicle.
Griffin, who records who has a prior gun charge from more than a decade ago, was charged with drug and weapons offenses, including a certain person not to possess a weapon due to his criminal history.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
