Morris County man dies in fiery Absecon crash

A Morris County man was found dead inside a car that was engulfed in flames Sunday night off Route 30 in Absecon.

An Absecon  police officer on patrol discovered the vehicle in the area of Delilah Road near the old Bayview Motel just before 10:30 p.m.

Life-saving measures were undertaken immediately by responding officers, who also made efforts to extinguish the flames, according to the report.. The Absecon Fire Department arrived and successfully controlled the blaze.

Craig G. Doka, 33, of Oak Ridge, was found deceased inside. It was a single-vehicle crash, according to the investigation.

Absecon's Traffic Safety Unit is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly incident.
