An Egg Harbor Township man is in critical condition after his utility terrain vehicle overturned Wednesday night.
Police were called to Dogwood Avenue between Winnepeg and Alder just after 6 p.m., Capt. Cherie Burgan said.
Juan Hernandez-Agabo, 21, was driving a 2015 Polaris Ranger UTV west on Dogwood when he lost control, causing the UTV to overturn and eject him.
He was the only occupant.
Hernandez-Agabo sustained major head injuries, Burgan said. Bystanders and responding officers administered CPR at the scene.
It was not clear whether he was wearing a helmet, Burgan said. That is part of the investigation.
Hernandez-Agabo was taken to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, and was listed in critical condition as of 3 p.m. Thursday, Burgan said.
Police were assisted on scene by Egg Harbor Township EMS and AtlantiCare Paramedics.
Dogwood Avenue between Winnepeg and Pine avenues was shutdown for approximately three hours while the crash was being investigated.
Officers Nathan Lahr and Thomas Rizzotte are investigating.
Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call the Traffic Safety Unit at 609-926-2661.
