Somers Point man gets 12 years in armed drug-trafficking enterprise

Marlow Guerrier (Atlantic County Justice Facility)

  • Crime-Courts

A Somers Point man who admitted to running a narcotics operation that provided drugs throughout Atlantic County was sentenced to a dozen years in prison this week.

Marlow Guerrier, now 35, was arrested last year after warranted searches of residences in Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township and Somers Point, along with two vehicles.

Police seized three handguns, multiple rounds of ammunition, crack cocaine and more than $90,000 in cash believed derived from drug sales.

Guerrier was a barber in Pleasantville by day, but he made his money through drug trafficking, according to the charges.

In his plea, Guerrier took full responsibility, clearing his four co-defendants, including Holli Carter, who had been held in jail following a detention hearing last year.

The Galloway Township woman was indicted on the charges, but now all counts have been dropped, defense attorney Durann Neil told BreakingAC.

Richelle Hall, 55, of Egg Harbor Township, previously pleaded guilty to a third-degree possession charge involving fentanyl, and faces probation when she is sentenced Dec. 2.

Guerrier must serve six years before he is eligible for parole.

The investigation was led by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit with help from the Somers Point Police Department.
