An Atlantic City man who admitted to having more than a pound of cocaine was sentenced to a decade in prison Monday.

Darrick Mallory, 54, pleaded guilty in January.

He was arrested June 2, 2022, after police searched his home at 711 Harris Place and found a multitude of drugs, according to the original charges.

The search led to 1.3 pounds of cocaine, more than three pounds of marijuana, THC edibles and about 22 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. There also was $6,558 in cash, along with assorted drug paraphernalia, including digital scales and hundreds of multi-sized vials commonly used to package cocaine, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms for sale.

A search of his cellphone contained photographs of crack cocaine being cooked his home's stove.

There is no term of parole ineligibility in the sentencing.

Mallory remained free after his plea, but has been jailed since April 7, records show.

He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his transfer to state prison.
