An Egg Harbor Township couple accused of endangering their infant twins were released from jail Monday.Matthew Williford and Randi Sleister were arrested April 30, after the two were found in a car at Atlantic City's Renaissance Plaza with the babies, along with drugs.Sleister, 41, is pregnant with couple's third child. She and Williford, 37, appeared in virtual court via video for separate detention hearings. The couple had stopped at CVS to pick up some items and had their clothing in the trunk prepared to go do their laundry as part of a list of errands they were running that day, according to Williford's attorney, Stephen Funk. The attorney questioned probable cause in the case, and indicated issues would later be raised about the search of the couple's car.In the mean time, Judge Bernard DeLury followed the recommendation by the public safety reports in the case, which recommended both be released with conditions that include regular court check-ins.The children are currently in the custody of Sleister's mother, and is being overseen by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
DeLury also suggested Sleister — who was found in possession of heroin — apply for Recovery Court.
