A custodian at a Cumberland County elementary school is in jail after he allegedly posted videos of himself tampering with food and utensils later served to children.
The details of the posts' contents may be disturbing to some readers.
Giovanni Impellizzeri, 25, of Vineland, "utilized various utensils and items from the school to wipe his penis, testicles and anus," according to the affidavit of probable cause.
He was also seen wiping those areas with multiple pieces of bread as well as spitting on the bread before putting it back into the container to be served to children, according to the report citing videos viewed by investigators.
Impellizzeri has been employed as a custodian for the Upper Deerfield Township Board of Education as a custodian since Sept. 1, 2019.
The Elizabeth F. Moore School — which house third through fifth grades — received multiple anonymous tips in reference to posts seen on Telegram, an encrypted texting application.
In it, a man claiming to work for the Upper Deerfield Township Public School District posted the videos whose contents are detailed in the affidavits.
Impellizzeri also allegedly sprayed bleach into a container of cucumbers that was later served to children.
He also was allegedly seen performing sexual acts with items from the school, along with masturbating and urinating on pillows and kitchen bowls.
Impellizzeri faces six charges, including a second-degree charge of official misconduct. The other five charges, listed in a separate filing, are all third-degree charges, including aggravated assault by attempting to cause significant bodily injury to multiple students for spraying the bleach into food that would later be served to them.
He was arrested Tuesday and is in the Cumberland County jail pending a detention hearing.
He does not appear to have an adult criminal record, according to a search of the public court records.
