Atlantic City man pleads to two burglaries in same day

Paul Wilson (Atlantic County Justice Facility)

  • Crime-Courts

An Atlantic City man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two burglaries in the same day last year.

Paul Wilson, 42, faces five years in prison, under the plea agreement. He is free pending sentencing.

Atlantic City police first responded to a report of a motor vehicle burglary Dec. 6, when they were told the suspect took items and left on a bicycle.

A second victim called police to report that his basement doors were ripped apart and shattered.

Wilson would have to serve at least four years and three months under the No Early Release Act. He has about four months of credit.

It appears he may have been homeless in Atlantic City. Prior charges include sleeping in public, public consumption of alcohol and trespassing/sleeping/living under the Boardwalk, court records show.
