A Somers Point woman was arrested Friday, a day after she allegedly set fire to her neighbor's porch during a dispute.
Janice Figueroa, 28, used an accelerant to set fire to the rear porch at the Somers Point Apartments on Thursday, and then fled, according to police.
The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.
A warrant was issued for aggravated arson, Chief Robert Somers said.
The next day, police saw Figueroa outside her residence, according to the report. She then fled inside.
Figueroa refused to answer the door.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Negotiation Team responded, and helped in getting Figueroa to surrender without incident, Somers said.
She was taken to Shore Medical Center for medical treatment, and then will be transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Figueroa also was issued summonses for the disorderly persons offenses of harassment and criminal mischief.
