Police arrested a Burlington County man in a Galloway Township stabbing after a multi-town search that ended in Hammonton.
Raul Virella Jr., 29, of Bordentown, allegedly stabbed Hisham Sarhan during a fight in the parking lot of Federal Court at about 8:45 Tuesday night.
Sarhan, 23, of Somers Point, suffered stab wounds to his abdomen and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, police said.
Virella fled in a vehicle, which crashed a short time later in Mullica Township, according to the report.
He abandoned the vehicle, which led to a search that included the State Police Aviation Unit, Galloway and Mullica police, and the Hamilton Township K-9 Unit.
Virella was found in Hammonton, and taken into custody without incident, according to the report.
He is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Virella is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
