Vineland man says he 'blacked out and shot' couple in deadly Millville attack

Eric Bundy-Johnson and Francessca Delvalle

Surveillance video led to the arrests of a Vineland couple in a shooting that killed a woman and wounded a man.

Eric Bundy-Johnson and Francessca Delvalle, both 34, are jailed on charges including murder and conspiracy in the fatal attack.

Millville police responded to 15 E. Green St. at about 10:37 a.m. Oct. 16, and found Bonnie Hitchens unresponsive in the passenger seat of a vehicle.

The 41-year-old Bridgeton woman was taken to Inspira Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

A 32-year-old Bridgeton man who was in the driver's seat was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was in stable condition. He was struck in the head and shoulder.

It appears Hitchens was the target in the case, according to information in the affidavit of probable cause obtained by BreakingAC.

A female driver is seen pulling up to the victim's vehicle in a car Delvalle was driving during a crash in Vineland in April, according to the affidavit.

The woman identified as Delvalle appears to be yelling at Hitchens, with some audio captured by surveillance, the affidavit states.

"You know what happened," she is clearly heard yelling, according to the affidavit. "You (expletive) my baby dad, b-----. You know what happened. Get out of the car, b----. Get out of the car."

Delvalle's passenger, identified as Bundy-Johnson, then gets out of the vehicle wearing a mask, walks up to the driver's side of the victim's vehicle, takes a gun from his waistband and fires four shots, the affidavit claims.

Delvalle also walks to the driver's side of the victim vehicle and sees Bundy-Johnson shooting the victims, according to the affidavit.

The two then get in their vehicle and drive away.

Video collected from a canvass of the neighborhood led to the vehicle's registration. The owner, identified only as R.O., told an investigator Sunday that Delvalle was driving the vehicle on the day of the shooting.

Delvalle was brought in for questioning, and waived her Miranda rights, the affidavit states.

She said that she tried to tell Bundy-Johnson not to get out of the car, and that it was he who fired the shots, according to the report. She also said he would be turning himself in.

While Delvalle was being questioned, Bundy-Johnson did surrender to Vineland police, the affidavit states.

He also waived his rights, and told the investigator "he had blacked out and shot Bonnie Hitchens and (the unnamed male victim) due to feeling  like people were constantly trying to finesse him," the affidavit states.

Bundy-Johnson said he broke down the gun, but neither he nor Delvalle would give any further information.

Both are in the Cumberland County jail.
